There is also a track missing from the soundtrack that appears in the game called “Legend”, that plays during the flight upon Flammie back from the final battle. Of special note are the tracks “Meridian Child”, “Delicate Affection”, and the whole of the finale at the end of Disc 3 from the last boss battles to the end of the game, which is so well weaved you get taken to a new high every time you think it couldn’t get any better.
The areas near the end of the game before you unlocked your third-tier classes at 36 were also very hard, but again a lot of difficulty of SD3 came from new and younger. This soundtrack is also characterized for having a much greater number of boss themes. I WILL NOTE however, that Seiken Densetsu 3 has specific difficulty jumps through the story, and some especially nasty boss fights later (like the deathbots on the bridge). Keeping true to his style of emotional conveyance through music, he has experimented this time incorporating more ethnic musical styles together with the techniques used in the past game, and once more getting the emotions running high at the right moments. After the huge success of Secret of Mana’s soundtrack, Kikuta was invited back for a second time two years later to work his magic on Seiken Densetsu 3.
